Just a quick note to let you know we had a fabulous wedding at Hogarth's on Jan 2nd.
We AND the guests fully enjoyed themselves.
The service of the staff was OUTSTANDING and the real feature of the day. Whenever we had a problem eg Spring Bed was still a double rather than a twin or the coeliac provision for the evening, it was dealt with expediently and with great style.
So on behalf of my wife and I (Ican say that now) I would like to thank you for your help and professionalism.

Dear Siobhan
This is a belated thank you for all you did for us for our christening celebrations on 27th December. We have been busy with family events ever since, including a week away in a large house near Bath so that all 18 of us could be together for the New Year.
We were made so welcome by your deputy and his staff. They looked after us so well, never being intrusive, but always being on hand to serve us or help us in any way they could. The room looked lovely, as did the table; and, as for the meal, well we all voted it the best we had had at any restaurant, and everyone's tastes were catered for - even the fussy ones! Please will you pass our compliments on to your chef. Everyone commented on how comfortable the chairs were, too; not at all the sort you usually get in a restaurant. I think a few of us oldies could quite easily have nodded off after the meal!
All of which made it into a perfect day for such an important occasion. Thank you very much indeed from all the Willett family. You will certainly be seeing us again!

Just wanted to say thanks to all at the hotel for a wonderful day yesterday.
From the minute we confirmed our booking it has been a pleasure to deal with you. Nothing has been too much trouble; Siobhan was brilliant throughout all of the planning.
She dealt with my very many queries, efficiently, professionally and with good humour; thank you.
On the day Helen was fantastic and ensured everything went smoothly, again in a calm and efficient manner.
David took over later in the evening and continued in the same vein.
The rest of the staff were also brilliant. Each and everyone of them was friendly and professional.
The quality of the food was outstanding; many guest commented that it was the best that had ever had at a wedding.
Repeating that standard for so many portions is a true skill and the chef and team in the kitchen should be congratulated too.

WEDDING: NOVEMBER 21ST 2009 / SUTCLIFFE + MILLWARD
All your careful planning paid off last Saturday! We had an absolutely marvellous day and despite the pouring rain, our dream of being married on the island was fulfilled. After that we thoroughly enjoyed the candle-filled ambience of the main hotel. Thank you so much.
We have written a personal letter to Florian who was an absolute gem. He was so lovely to me and even drove a close friend of ours to the Drum and Monkey in an abortive mission to collect the ´Irish contingent´ who we mistakenly thought had got the start time for the party wrong. This was way beyond the normal call of duty!
So many people commented on various aspects of the day and despite the inclement weather, everyone who came to our wedding had a great time. We had numerous comments about how wonderful the party was some said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.
As the day progressed from the ceremony through the wedding breakfast and then the party, disco, buffet and fireworks and finally ended up with a few of us in the hotel bar (in Alan´s case until 4am, I retired a little earlier to enjoy the wonderful bath in the bridal suite!) I realized too late that many of the staff who contributed to making our day so happy had disappeared before we had time to thank them. The ´problem´ was that they were so calmly efficient and quietly attentive that their presence was hardly noticed. In retrospect, I should have paid them more attention at the time but in the excitement of the day, I didn´t. Those that I am aware of include the chef (I can say with certainty the wedding breakfast was wonderful and so too, according to our guests, was the fork buffet I only managed a small portion of the bread and butter pudding in the evening but like the meal earlier, it was divine) and his helpers in the kitchen, the receptionist, those who waited on us during the wedding breakfast, the Williams suite bar and buffet staff and the dear ´night guardian´ who so kindly pointed me along the corridor to the bridal suite. Foolishly, I had been frantically swiping the door to the broom cupboard! There are probably many others who I have forgotten. I would be enormously grateful if you could find time to thank each and every one of them on our behalf.
I hope you can tell by now that Alan and I will remember our wedding at Hogarths for ever. We had hopes and dreams about how the day would turn out, but never in our wildest dreams did we expect it to be so special. Thank you to all of you!

PS. We have loved Hogarths since April 9th 2009. Our guests who are more imaginative than us saw the irony of the name and nick-named it Hogwarts.
In our case, Hogarths/Hogwarts magical properties only became apparent as our wedding day progressed!

Following our recent wedding last Saturday, myself and Kathryn would like to say a very big thank you to all at Hogarths who helped make our day so special.
The excellent service and attention to detail Florin gave us on the day really was superb! A big thank you also to Janene for going over all the details with Mr & Mrs Rea with a fine tooth comb and making sure everything was in place that needed to be.
We had high expectations for hogarths a sbeing an excellent venue for our wedding. We (and all our guests) were very impressed, not only with the service but the quality of food too.
The main course in particular was outstanding.

"Fabulous Wedding Venue"
We found Hogarths through a blog on the internet for 'You and Your Wedding'. We arranged an appointment and met Ben the wedding co-ordinator who was fantastic showing us the hotel, the bedrooms and the grounds and then helping us plan our day!
All the help we had arranging the wedding and the detail was great and took a lot of the stress out of organising the event!
David the wedding director on the day was fabulous he helped make our day run smoothly and we didn't have to worry about anything!
The food was fantastic and although we were a little disappointed that we would have to pay for a tasting menu to choose our food for the day which in the end we didn't bother to do, the lunch was excellent! We also had the BBQ menu in the evening which all our guest commented on as the choice and variety was superb. The only disappointment that there was so much food which we didn't manage to finish!
All of the hotel rooms were beautifully decorated and furnished although they were a little pricey for our guests however everyone enjoyed their stay!!
I would recommend anyone thinking of getting married in the midlands to have their wedding at Hogarths they really helped make our day special and catered for all of our requirements without hesitation.

Im writing to thank you for enabling the friendship club to have such a wonderful time with you yesterday.
The whole experience was very happy and the meal was perfect.
The William suite, the outlook (With rabbits!!), the staff- we could not fault it.
Hogarths is beautifully situated and it was a lovely setting for our annual lunch, particularly for celebrating Mr & Mrs Pearce´s 70th wedding anniversary. I know they were very happy - and will probably write their own thanks, especially for the generous and thoughtful lunch presents.
Ben, please thank Florin (Delightful person) and the team for all they did. Nothing was too much trouble.

Well what can we say, it was the ultimate in alfresco dining experience. My guest were amazed at the venue and its facilities.
Helen your duty manager attended to all my needs and more, nothing was too much trouble for any of your staff, even to the point in keeping the surprise for my husband right down to the very last second.
The element of surprise was immense, he was exceptionally delighted and I would like to personally thank yourself and Ben, for the guidance and hard work, the Island barbecue was unique.
I would have no hesitation at recommending this to anybody.
Onto the food- I can see why you receive the high accolade you do, it is richly deserved, however due to the butterflies in my stomach I did not manage to sample any of the delights, but will ensure to come back to remedy this.
My guest have been congratulating me , for the whole event, I feel you needed to be rewarded with the same praise,

Well yet again we had a lovely time at Hogarths!
Stafff as always attentive, friendly and efficient, particular praise as per usual must
go to Wesley, and our lovely waitress on the day, Jamie.

for the excellent food and for providing exactly what was requested for the children.
We accidentally (on purpose!) left Aimees flowers so that we had to come back yesterday
to fetch them!
This was the first time of visiting for 2 of our kids and Steves Mum and Sister, they all as
expected, loved it. However, we would like to bring them back at some point to show
them around properly, reception room, bedrooms etc, if that's okay.

I don't think that we have any negative feedback at all. It was comforting on the day that David kept us informed about what was going on, timings etc which was very helpful. As you don't go through it every day its nice to be with someone on the day who does - so they can do the thinking for you and let you know what decisions have to be taken and when.
Everyone really enjoyed it - and the Butty Bach was lovely.
No complaints on the food either-I'm pretty sure it all got eaten!.
All in all it was perfect - even the weather played ball.
Thanks for all your help in the organisation as well - we made the right choice of venue that's for sure.

Even though we were running a bit behind schedule (our fault) no-one seemed to notice. Everyone was able to sit outside in the sunshine and then we had the doors open during the wedding breakfast. The food was excellent, the staff attentive and the setting lovely. (Florin was very good - keeping me up to date with what was happening behind the scenes!). I felt I had to write on behalf of my family to thank you so much for the welcome that you extended to us on Saturday last. I know that we were particularly lucky with the weather, being able to sit outside on the patio and have tea and coffee served out there, but everything was just "perfect". You provided us with a lovely room, that overlooked the patio, and the table was set beautifully. The "individual" menus gave a personal touch and everyone enjoyed their various meals.
I have to say that our waiter was very kind, thoughtful and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, as were the additional staff that assisted.
All in all we had a very enjoyable afternoon and I would not hesitate to recommend your hotel to anyone. Our family and friends in the main had traveled some way to get to your hotel but everyone agreed how pleasant your hotel and amenities were.

We could not have wished for a better day, more attentive staff one would struggle to find anywhere. We received many nice comments regarding the level of service and the quality of the food. Special mention needs to go to Phil, an absolute gentleman, and a great ambassador for the Hogarth's brand. We felt so well looked after, and knew that everything was under control. We must also mention Daniel and thank him for his attention and help from start to finish.
