Hogarth Sponsor AFC Football club
hogarths Hotels, Solihull’s and Birmingham’s premier hotel group have partnered with AFC Solihull to sponsor the team Kit for this season. The hotel group based in fours ashes road Dorridge, Solihull, are no stranger to doing some great things in the community nad have this year alone helped many event and charities to raise much need funds and awareness of causes.
AFC Solihull is a local grass roots football club formed in 2012 as a number of youth teams. An open age team was started in 2014 with the objective of giving the local youngsters from the youth teams a pathway into adult football. After winning the quadruple in the Stratford Alliance in its first season the open age side made the step up to the Midland Football League which is the first step into semi professional football and forms part of the National League system, playing across all of the Midlands and regional counties.
After some initial struggles at this higher level the addition of a number of local teenagers progressing from the youth team has seen the club improve leaps and bounds in 2018 and this season they currently sit top of the league and have reached the quarter finals of the Birmingham FA County Vase.
The club has progressed on and off the field and has been granted FA Charter Standard status. With promotion could come the opportunity to compete in the FA Vase and FA Cup preliminary stages. However this means we now face more established teams who may have bigger budgets for the club and players. As a completely self funded club sponsorship is crucial for us to continue to provide a platform for local youngsters to play at this level. This is why we owe a huge thanks to hogarths for becoming our sponsors and we are looking forward to working with them going forward. Look out for the hogarths pitchside board at our ground at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, Solihull.
Sarah Shirley head of marketing for hogarths, commented, it is such a great team to be sponsoring, the team and club as whole do a lot to promote grass roots football and encourage young people to be part of a winning team.
